Shane Hayes has done a great job building Lost Island Lodge and all that goes with it. We wish Shane all the best with his retirement and hope he will visit us from time to time.  But now, new owner/operators, Bob and John, are excited to take over and continue the tradition of Shane’s hard work.  While John and Bob might be new faces, Basil, Vivian, and Sam’s familiar faces will still be part of Lost Island Lodge. We are anxious to meet each of you and look forward to your stay with us. 

2020 was an unexpected year to say the least, we spent the summer at the resort doing some renovations to a few of the cabins, all cabins now have new flushing toilets, we have built a large deck overlooking the docks and added a new bait shop. 

As we prepare for 2021 we are transferring the 2020 reservations to 2021.  Please note that any deposits made for 2020 will automatically be rolled over to 2021.  We recognize the reservations from 2020 might not suit all the customers for 2021. Each of you is important to us and we want to personally reach out to confirm your reservations for 2021.  We will begin contacting many of you for whom we have your contact information, unfortunately with the transition we do not have everyone’s contact information(email address or phone number).   If you have not heard from us, we would greatly appreciate if you could you call or email your contact information.  Our email is still the same: fish@lostislandlodge.com.

Lost Island Lodge , invites you to fish  the quiet bays , rocky points and reefs that hold  plenty of hungry Walleye . Lac Seul , Lost Island Lodge , Ontario , were we  offer complete Lac Seul fishing packages  designed to accommodate the needs of individuals, couples, families or like the many large groups we now have (10 to 30 fishermen). Lac Seul is one of Ontario’s most productive fishing lakes. . This is an incredible lake that has over 400,000 acres of water with a tremendous amount of shoreline. You can always find a great fishing hole to call your own. Lac Seul is known to be a consistent producer for the Angler with limits of Walleye daily . The Musky get large and the Pike are always ready to bite  , but it's still all about the Ontario Walleye Fishing experience !

Lac Suel has four primary sections, and is mostly fed by three bountiful rivers. The Vermillion River flows from the East, the Root River flows from the North, and the English River from the South. These three large rivers provide plenty of water for marine life to thrive, which makes for excellent fishing year around. Our Ontario Fishing Lodge offers 17’ & 18' Fishing Boats that are powered with 50hp motors, swivel seats, and carpeted floors. Each fishing boat is equipped with a landing net, bait bucket, depth finder, and life jackets for your safety. Fresh minnows are available daily at the camp . We have everything you need right here at the lodge for your North Western Ontario Fishing Trip ! That includes Canadian Walleye , fresh shore lunches , some of Ontario's best Bass and large Pike too . Canadian Fly In Trips , why , Lac Seul is as good and better then most Ontario Fly in's . No driving, No trailering and No launching your boat each day! Just walk down to the dock where someone will be ready to gas your boat or get your bait for you . They will also tell you where the" hot spots" are, how deep and anything else that will help make each day a success . Now you can get that early morning jump on the fish that are waiting for you ! .There is nothing like being in your boat watching the sun come up over a calm lake, sitting in your favorite "Honey Hole" on Lac Seul, of which there are many!

After your evening dinner you can still fish for 3-4 hours.

Walleye in abundance are a daily occurrence whether it be spring, summer or fall. Northern fishing is excellent all summer long, June and September are better for Bass , but can be found all summer long.

 

Lac Seul is approximately 100 miles long with more than 700 square miles of water. The natural beauty of this lake is spectacular. There are thousands of miles of shore line, hundreds of islands and reefs too numerous to count. ' Drive to ' the landing where we will meet you and ' boat in'  to the lodge . Get a few hours on the water the same day and tomorrow there is always somewhere new to fish or explore and discover new "favourite spots".

All of Lost Island Lodges cabins are sheltered among towering pine trees, with an excellent view of the lake. You will find your cabin clean, modern, and comfortable. Each cabin is fully equipped for personal housekeeping that includes fresh linens, an electric refrigerator, propane range stove, propane furnace,  running water, bath facilities and a relaxing sun deck.

With The American Plan You Leave the cooking to us. Enjoy having breakfast and supper  in our lodge dining room. We will pack you a shore lunch kit with everything you need to enjoy a great meal of your fresh caught Ontario Walleye. Daily maid service is provided for our American Plan Guests. With The Housekeeping Plan You Are The Chef. Cook your favorite recipes in your cabin or be a 'grill master' at the BBQ. Fresh towels are provided daily. With The Modified Plan You Get The best of both worlds... sleep in or get an early start on the day; you take care of breakfast and lunch. Then in the evening, join us in the Lodge for one of Vivian’s fabulous suppers, followed by a homemade dessert, that you will not want to miss.
